This area is maybe a different prospect in a few years time when it becomes Barcelonas IT mecca next to the sea as planned. But for now its a charming centrally-located residential neighbourhood five minutes from the sea near Vila Olimpica and Barcelonas best beach Mar Bella. Thanks to the pedestrians Rambla de Poble Nou which is lined with cafes and trees, the area has a very local, friendly and village feeling. This is a lovely place from which to soak up the feeling of a local Catalan neighbourhood while being within easy reach of the city centre and the beach. 22@Barcelona is building a new compact city in the Poble Nou area, where the most innovative companies co-exist with research, training and tech transfer centers, as well as housing, facilities and green areas.
