This estate is located on the Costa Brava coast near a famous medieval town and fortress of Begur. It is one of the most attractive villages of the region. Its castle is undoubtedly the most emblematic symbol of the medieval period of the town. Throughout the XVI and XVII centuries pirates scolded the coast of Begur forcing their inhabitants to build towers of defence to protect themselves from the looters. Some of the towers are in good state of conservation today. Towards end of XIXth century and beginning of the XXth century, the conquerors of America have returned to the home towns and the richest built palacetes , or small palaces , rather luxurious colonial style houses. The privileged location of Begur, gives us one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the coast of Baix and Alt Empord. In the narrow paved streets of the town, you will find excellent restaurants, and some very good bars. On the main square, you will see locals dance sardanas, or authentic medieval markets.
