This villa is situated on the south of the island and only 11 kilometres from Ibizas capital. It is originally the basis of the island's economy and the centre of a lucrative salt trade. This area at the most southern tip of the island is still an important natural asset. Las Salinas has recently acquired the status of nature reserve, much to the relief of the numerous flamingos who visit the area each year. Named after the vast salt lakes, the beach at Las Salinas is one of the most popular, along with nearby Es Cavallet. The very long, wide crescent of pale sandy beach is bordered by pine woods. The water is crystal clear and offers a gentle, cooling breeze. This is a great place for adventure walks or a bike ride in the surrounding terrain of Ibiza's Wildlife Conservation Area. The Salinas beaches are a perfect place to relax all day long with beautiful music from St Tincha Beach Bar and delicious food prepared in the world famous Jockey Club. |
